Karie Johnston

Karie's focus is on balancing the autonomic nervous system utilizing the principles of cranial osteopathy which corrects abnormal tensions found in the structures of the cranium, sacrum, and spine.
Treatments are gentle and relaxing and her clients appreciate her passion for teaching them how their body works and what they can do to help themselves through home-based care.
While there are many conditions that may benefit from Craniosacral Therapy, some of the more frequent issues Karie treats include migraine headaches, vertigo, tinnitus, temporomandibular dysfunction, neck and shoulder pain.Karie has a particular interest in post-concussive syndromes and can develop a comprehensive treatment plan to address the symptoms of her clients.
Karie is a long-time skier and sailor and enjoys the fresh and nature at every opportunity. A lifelong fascination with psychology and motivation makes for plenty of ongoing reading and podcast listening.
Favourite bone: The sphenoid and occipital bones are the main motor of the craniosacral mechanism and when they are moving well together, it's a thing of beauty, allowing clients to experience harmony and balance.
