Craniosacral Therapy
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
A hands-on method using a light and subtle pressure, Craniosacral Therapy improves many body functions with an aim of enhancing your self-healing mechanisms.
Your treatment involves being fully clothed, laying on your back or side on a clinic table in one of our private treatment rooms.
Cranial bones, sacral motion, and the cerebral spinal fluid within the membrane system is evaluated and modified when areas of restriction are detected. In addition, as the cranial rhythm impacts all the soft tissue and joints of your body, various techniques are utilized to address restrictions found in other areas besides your cranium and sacrum.
What to Expect During a Craniosacral Therapy Appointment:
Your Craniosacral therapist will take a detailed history of previous injuries and illnesses and how these may be impacting your current situation.
Clients experience a generalized relaxation response in tissues thus reducing pain, improving circulation, and energy is often increased as your nervous system is brought into balance. Clients report sleeping well the night after a treatment and notice a gradual improvement of their symptoms after just a few treatments spaced a week or so apart.

Craniosacral Therapy FAQs:
What should I wear to my appointment?
During your visit, we ask you to bring a pair of shorts and a t-shirt to ensure comfort during the assessment.
Do you direct bill?
Yes! During your first appointment please provide us with your extended health benefit information and we will be happy to submit to your insurance provider on your behalf.
Will my therapist use extensive modalities as part of the treatment plan?
No. We are a hands-on clinic, meaning we don't rely on passive modalities to deliver care. The only modality we have on-site is electroacupuncture (when tolerated), which has a robust evidence base. In addition, our treatments include joint mobilizations, soft tissue work, motor re-patterning, exercise therapy, and functional movement.
